Terms

Updated 2026-09-30

The rules for using the site and buying the paid themes. What you may build with the code is on the licence page.

Who we are

Beautiful Charts is run by Pending: legal entity, Pending: address. You can reach us at Pending: contact email.

The free library

The free charts are MIT and need no account. These terms cover the site and the paid themes; the MIT licence covers the free code.

Accounts

You sign in with a link sent to your email. Keep your inbox yours: whoever can open the link can use the account. Tell us if you think someone else has.

What you buy

A single theme, or the Full Spectrum pack. Both are one-time purchases of a licence, not subscriptions. The pack covers every theme released within a year of purchase; a renewal extends that for another year. Themes that are announced but not yet released are shown as scheduled, and nothing unreleased is charged as delivered.

Prices, payment and tax

Prices are in US dollars. Tax is added at checkout where it applies. Payments are handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, so their checkout and receipt terms apply to the payment itself. Upgrading from a theme to the pack costs the difference.

Refunds

Sales are final, because code can't be returned once downloaded. You get a full refund if something doesn't work as described and we can't fix it within 14 days of your report, or for a billing mistake or double charge. Changing your mind isn't covered. EU and UK buyers agree at checkout that access starts immediately and waive the withdrawal right; mandatory rights are kept. Please email us before disputing a charge. Details in the refund policy.

Access tokens

Paid themes install through a private registry with your access token. Keep it out of public repos and don't share it beyond your seats. We may rotate a token that leaks or is used far beyond its seats, and we'll tell you first when we can.

Ownership

We keep the copyright in the paid source; you get the licence. What you build with it is yours.

Availability and changes

We keep the site and registry running and fix what breaks, but can't promise they're never down. Code you've installed lives in your repo and keeps working either way.

No warranty

The code is provided as it is. Check that it does what you need before you rely on it.

Liability

As far as the law allows, our total liability for anything related to a purchase is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights the law says can't be limited.

Ending a licence

If someone breaks the licence, for example by publishing the paid source, we can end their licence and access. A refunded purchase ends its licence too: access stops, and paid source you hadn't shipped must be removed.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, the date at the top changes, and we'll email account holders about anything that matters. Purchases keep the terms they were made under.
